Five useful habits for iPhone, iPad and MacBook

1. Protect batteries from heat

Do not leave devices in direct sun or a hot car. High temperatures accelerate battery ageing.

Never insert metal into ports or spray liquid directly onto a device. If a connector no longer fits correctly, debris should be removed carefully.

A current backup reduces data-loss risk before repair. System updates can improve security and stability.

Replace damaged cables and adapters, especially if they become unusually hot or have broken insulation.
